The Undercover Dream Lovers
The Undercover Dream Lovers is the American indie psychedelic dreampop project by songwriter and producer Matt Koenig. Koenig debuted the first Dream Lovers EP, While It’s In Style, in early April 2016 at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right and he hasn’t stopped since.
Koenig wrote and produced all the songs for the Dream Lovers in his Brooklyn, NY bedroom before moving to Los Angeles, where he now has a home studio. Periodically, he enlists the help of friends for a drum part or mixing advice/collaboration but hopes to eventually work with a consistent band. Being a part of a band has always been Koenig’s inspiration for music, however he has found it more practical and efficient to create the songs himself.
One of the biggest highlights for the Dream Lovers has been the rapid success of his single 'Good Luck', which went viral on Spotify shortly after its release in October 2016. The track also landed in an episode of Vice’s “Fuck, That’s Delicious,” scoring the band their on screen debut. ‘Come Home’ came less than a year later, landing on Spotify’s New Music Friday and going viral, continuing his momentum for growth.
Now that he’s settled in Los Angeles, Koenig is looking forward to releasing his first full length album in 2019 and also intends to tour much more.
BOYO IS THE ECLECTIC, PSYCH-POP BRAINCHILD OF 22 YEAR-OLD MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST ROBERT TILDEN. THE PROJECT WAS BORN OUT OF THE GRADUAL DISSOLUTION OF BOBBY T. AND THE SLACKERS, A CULT-BELOVED GARAGE-BAND THAT TILDEN STARTED AT AGE 16. SINCE 2016, TILDEN HAS FEVERISHLY RELEASED A SERIES OF ALBUMS, EP'S, AND SINGLES, ALL VARYING STYLISTICALLY AND IN MOOD BUT RETAINING THE SENTIMENTAL CHORD PROGRESSIONS, GHOSTLY, CHILDLIKE VOCALS, AND WARPED PRODUCTION THAT MAKES THEM CONSISTENTLY AND UNIQUELY BOYO.
